Yesterday I was asked to get up super early (ok it was only 8am, but still) and run around campus with some good friends of mine to take their senior pictures because they’re graduating college and that’s exciting, people! It was weird, taking the final group pictures of some of my sweet friends and knowing it was going to be a while before I saw them all together again, but I was also proud. I was proud because they did it. They did college. They did the early classes and the all-nighters and the group projects that always become nightmares. They did the parties and the move nights and survived all the fire drills, exam weeks, and everything in between. It was like watching friends celebrate how they had become a family and that’s pretty cool if you ask me.
As I tried to herd them together and eventually found myself wading through over 400 pictures of these crazy goons, I can’t help but be excited for new chapters. I’ve finished my freshman year (that’s crazy to even write) and I can’t wait to see who’s standing next to me when I have some freshman kid taking our graduation pictures. Exciting times ahead.
