What Did You Give

What if instead of asking, “what did you get for Christmas?” we started asking, “what did you give?” What if we stopped focusing on the things we acquired this season and rather focused on the things we poured our ideas and creativity and jar of pennies into; the things we picked out especially for the people in our lives.Β If somebody asked R what he gave, I can’t imagine he would be able to give a straight answer because he gave me a day; a day of surprises, hiking, photography, trails, food, and a great finale of Krispy Kreme donuts (you all know how I feel about Krispy Kreme). So basically this was a great day. I’m grateful for someone who knows how to surprise me, trusts me with a road map on rural mountain roads, and makes everyday an adventure.
